How we met isn't just a funny story… it's a cautionary tale of what happens when you put two highly energetic professionals in the same room and tell them to "figure it out." Spoiler alert: they don't just figure it out. They start a company, disrupt the status quo, and pinpoint core challenges with a clarity that leaves clients wondering why they ever settled for less.
Jes, a fast-talking storyteller with over 20 years of communications, branding, and project management experience, has a knack for getting to the heart of any challenge. Mitch, a performance-based alchemist with two decades of marketing, sales, and operations experience, knows how to turn those challenges into sustainable, scalable results.
This story doesn't involve radioactive spiders or billionaire gadgets (but we wish)—instead, it starts in the least glamorous way possible. Mitch was brought in to replace Jes, sparking what could have been an epic showdown. But, in a twist worthy of a sitcom, we didn't just get along—we clicked. Our skills complemented each other, creating a bigger picture we couldn't have imagined alone. We became an unstoppable team, making a real difference in the lives of Veterans—helping over 100,000 find medical consulting and rating increases for disability services (and scaling lead generation and revenue by 900% over two years for our employer).
After helping a handful of clients during the wee hours (and juggling our 9-5s), we took the leap to create Boisterous Labs in 2022 because we knew we had something special to offer. In our previous roles, we were the go-to people for solving complex problems, but we often felt like square pegs in round holes. We decided it was time to channel our skills into something of our own, making quality services accessible, affordable, and sharing our know-how within our communities and industries.
Going full-time in July 2023 was our hold-your-breath-and-jump moment. We've found that "Do or do not, there is no try" applies as much to entrepreneurship as it does to Jedi training.
Our success isn't just measured by our clients' victories but by the laughter, camaraderie, and unwavering belief that we can tackle any challenge when we approach life with humor and heart. Life is a marathon—not a sprint. And it's a lot more fun when shared with someone who gets you (and your movie references).
